Fitz dispels every myth you’ve heard about Cambridge. It's a down to earth and welcoming college, with a diverse student body and thriving social life. Fitz incorporates the best of the old and the new: it's a modern college that retains all the things that make Cambridge special, without being stuffy or old-fashioned. Our college is unique in Cambridge because it descends from a University scheme initiated in the nineteenth century to encourage student access from all backgrounds. Because of this, Fitz maintains the strong ethos that ability is the only thing that matters.
We have top-class facilities including a brand new 24/7 library, squash courts, gym, music rooms, a playing field, allotments , an auditorium and, most importantly, a cafe/bar that is the centre of Fitz student life. We're the only Cambridge College to have a radio studio in association with CamFM. Sports and societies here are very active and there is something for everyone, which helps strike a healthy balance between work and play, with highlights provided by our fantastic Ents (entertainments) team: check out the Ents page to get an idea of all the great stuff we get up to.
